Some days I just have to put the paint brush down.

When I started this blog I intended for it to just be about my paintings & painted furniture. But the truth is, is that I'm a wife, busy mom of 2, & there are times that life gets in the way of my paint brush.

My beautiful daughter is a Type 1 diabetic & my sweet son is Autistic. So there are PLENTY of days that painting takes a back seat & I'm perfectly okay with that.

Up until a few months ago I worked full time doing medical billing. I worked for 2 great doctors, but the needs of my kids continued to grow & so did my stress level. I have an amazing husband who supports whatever journey I decide to take. It was a hard decision, it basically came down to my sanity vs a paycheck... My husband & kids like me sane, so sanity won!

Duck Egg Blue Knock Off

I used Behr's Powdered Snow & Grey Morning. Grey Morning is as close to Annie Sloan's Duck Egg Blue as it can get.  I don't mind using chalk paint, as a matter of fact, my first few pieces were nothing but CeCe Caldwell's paint. BUT some days I just don't want to. :-)

OLD School desk

I'm so glad I finally got to paint one of these old school desk. I've been dying to get my hands on one of these! I love how these turned out! I just wish my camera took better pictures of it. It's actually turquoise but it looks blue in the picture. -Amber

Old School Desk For A Sweet Little One.

I'm not going to lie, I love painting these old school desks. They're so much pleasure in bringing life back into something that most people would throw.  The design came from a client of mine that wanted this chair to match her little girls bedding (see picture below).  Isn't it the cutest? Makes me wish my kids were little bitty again. -Amber
